Mulya,a name that resonates with values and integrity, was born in the serene landscapes of Dev Bhumi Uttarakhand. What began as a humble homegrown initiative soon blossomed into a brand with a purpose— to honor nature, culture, and the essence of womanhood. Mulya’s journey started with a simple yet profound idea: to create garments that carry the soul of the earth, using only natural dyes and the ancient art of eco-printing.

We belong to the Northern state of India - Uttarakhand. A state crossed by the Himalayas. It is rich in natural resources especially water and forests with many glaciers, rivers, dense forests and snow-clad mountain peaks. Char-dhams, the four most sacred and revered Hindu temples of Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri are nestled in the mighty mountains.

By using only the purest, biodegradable materials and harnessing the essence of nature—such as flowers, leaves, and plant-based dyes—we ensure that our garments are as kind to the Earth as they are beautiful.

We believe in the power of nature’s palette. Our dyes are sourced from the vibrant hues of flowers, leaves, and barks, with many of these elements collected from local temples. Each petal and leaf carries a story, a memory that we infuse into our textile, ensuring that no two pieces are ever alike. Our eco-printing process is a tribute to the earth, an endeavor to reduce waste and celebrate the beauty of the natural world

Mulya’s journey began with a passion for textiles and a desire to create something truly unique. With a focus on providing value and brightening the lives of those who make and wear their textiles, Mulya has grown from training a single woman to providing workshops for skill development in the interior of Uttarakhand. The team at Mulya is dedicated to finding new ideas and striving to be better than yesterday

Alisha, the founder of Mulya, is a visionary NIFT graduate who dared to follow her passion and stay true to her roots. After completing her education at one of India's premier fashion institutes, she embarked on a successful career but soon realized that her heart yearned for something more meaningful. Driven by a deep connection to her homeland, she made the bold decision to quit her job and return to Uttarakhand, the place where her soul felt at home. With a strong desire to preserve and promote sustainable fashion, she established Mulya—a homegrown brand that reflects her commitment to sustainability, craftsmanship, and the rich cultural heritage of Uttarakhand.

Mulya is more than a brand; it’s a movement. Our team is composed entirely of women, many of whom come from marginalized communities. Our vision extends beyond fashion; it’s about transforming lives. We are committed to empowering these women through skill development and training workshops, providing them with the tools to create, innovate, and lead. Every textile we produce is a testament to their strength, creativity, and resilience.
